Our Name
In 1994, our founder opened a station in Baguio City — DWBG. The call letters "BG" caught his eye: Baguio and Galvez. He put an "i" in the middle and had something new: BiG.
His children gave it its lasting meaning. The capital B stood for God. The lowercase i stood for the self — kept small, kept humble. The G for Galvez, the family that built it all.
From that day forward, every FM station in Vanguard Radio Network carried the name BiG SOUND fm. Not just a brand — a philosophy on the air.
